A prayer house on the beach might be the answer to the authorities prayers in attracting more tourists at the Black Sea shore, abandoned to stray dogs while Romanian tourists are filling the summer resorts in Bulgaria and Greece.
An occasional tourist took a picture with the new addition to the Black Sea attractions, a prayer venue erected at the shore, and sent it to local Realitatea TV news channel.
The Romanian Black Sea resorts and beaches are in advanced state of decay, many Romanians preferring to spend the upcoming 1 May break in neighbouring Bulgaria, in Greece or Turkey.
On 1 May the official summer season kicks off on the Black Sea Coast. Hotel owners and tour operators are angry with the local authorities because the beaches are not cleaned and the overall landscape looks like an area after a war.
