Eco warriors dressed as bears hit road construction in Europe´s last intact forest

Ecologists dressed up as bears are protesting about the building of a road through a forest in the Retezat Mountains, Romania.

According to the protestors the forest is Europe’s last intact forest and the largest natural habitat home for brown bears, wolves and lynx.

The 110 km long DN66 road would destroy that, the ecologists say.

The road is due for completion by the end of this year.
