Largest building in the world, open for public

The Romanian Parliament will be open to the public on 1 and 2 May, from 10:00 am to 04:00 pm, it was revealed on Monday.

The Parliament's meeting rooms and MPs offices will be open for public and also its basement.

A traditional folk music concert will also be organised and a traditional products fair.

The Romanian parliament is hosted by the Palace of Parliament or the People's House, which is, according to the Guinness Book of World Records, the world's largest civilian administrative building, most expensive administrative building, and heaviest building.

The Palace was designed and nearly completed by the Ceauşescu regime as the seat of political and administrative power.
