Romanian airliner Carpatair will start direct flights to four Italian destinations, the company said today (Tues).
Carpatair will launch on May 17 four direct flights from Bucharest Otopeni airport to Milan (Bergamo airport), Verona, Bologna and Venice.
The company will have 79 flights to Italy per week, to nine destinations.
Carpatair started operating flights from Bucharest to Italy in October last year.
Paula Ardelean, sales and marketing vicepresident, said: "By supplementing the number of flights from Bucharest-Otopeni, Carpatair is implementing the medium term development strategy, which also meant purchasing 3 Fokker 70 airplanes last year."
Carpatair also has direct flights from Craiova to Roma and Milan, starting March.
Carpatair operates over 250 flights per week to 30 destinations in six countries.
