Discount airline Wizz Air will launch flights from Bucharest and Cluj-Napoca on three new routes this summer, the company said today (Thurs).
There will be two flights a week from Cluj-Napoca to Zaragoza starting on 12 June and to Dusseldorf starting on 26 June.
There will be three new flights from Bucharest to Zaragoza, Dusseldorf and Turin at the end of June, company officials said.
Ticket prices will range from 70 lei to 140 lei, taxes included.
Gyorgy Abran, chief commercial officer for Wizz Air, said the company had estimated it would have two million passengers on flights to and from Romanian destinations in 2010, or 21 per cent more than last year.
He said the occupancy ratio would be 85 per cent this year.
Wizz Air had 7.8 million passengers Europe-wide last year ,and it anticipates 10 million in 2010. Wizz Air has 27 Airbus A320 aircraft that operate from 11 airports in Poland, Hungary, Bulgaria, Romania, Ukraine and the Czech Republic.
