Skating-rink opens at elevation of 2,034 metres in Fagaras mountains

A figure skating-rink has opened for tourists at an elevation of 2,034 metres on Balea lake in the Fagaras mountains, local organisers announced today (Thurs).

The natural skating-rink has an area of 400 square metres, local tourist-resort administrator Inge Florea said.

Four ski slopes are open for tourists next to the unique Ice Hotel near the lake, the only hotel made exclusively of ice in Eastern Europe.

Inflation reaches two-years high
