Romanians break their own records at Dakar Rally

The two Romanians who participated, for the fourth time, in the Dakar Rally recorded their best results in their career.

Romanian Emanuel Gyenes, 27, from Satu Mare, (Vectra Racing Team) ranked 17th in the overall ranking. Back in 2007, he was 46th, while in 2009, he abandoned the race. At the last year's edition, he finished 18th, winning the Marathon competition.

Marcel Butuza, 46, was 44th at this year's edition, after having taken the number 22 slot and 66 respectively, after the 14th and last leg of the rally.

Butuza advanced 15 positions from his best ranking, number 59 in 2011, after having abandoned the race in 2007 and 2009 in the 8th leg and 3rd leg respectively.
