Duster launched in Romania

Romanian Times

Formula 1 champion Alain Prost today (Thurs) launched the new Dacia Duster, a 4x4 model by Romanian car maker Dacia, a Renault subsidiary.

The model was finally launched in Romania after its presentation at the Geneva motor show last month.

Prost said: "Duster has already proved the performance it is capable of in competition. It is a good car that Romanians can be proud of."

Prost also drove Duster at the Andros Trophy competition in France.

Duster can already be ordered in Romania at prices starting at 10,500 Euros (VAT included) for the 4x2 version and from 12,300 Euros for the 4x4 version.

Jérôme Olive, general manager Dacia, said: "The arrival of the Duster model will consolidate Dacia's international expansion."

Starting on 15 April, Duster will also be available for drive tests.

The Dacia Duster will be available in 4X2 and 4X4 models, with a 1.6 cylinder and 110 horsepower gasoline engine, as well as in models with two diesel engines - one with 1.5 cylinders and 85 horsepower and one with 1.5 cylinders and 105 horsepower.
