Victor Hanescu down one place in ATP rankings

Romanian tennis player Victor Hanescu is currently the highest-ranked Romanian in singles in the new ATP rankings released yesterday (Mon).

Hanescu ranks 37th, down one place from his previous ranking, and has 1,021 points from his play in 31 tournaments.

Hanescu lost to Spaniard Albert Montanes yesterday by a score of 6-3, 3-6, 6-7 at a Paris tournament.

Among the women, Sorana Cārstea is down three places at 46th, followed by Alexandra Dulgheru, 51st, Raluca Olaru, 73rd and Edina Gallovits, 93rd.
