Yesterday (Thurs) evening was disastrous for Romanian teams in the Europa League, as four clubs were defeated and one played to a draw.
Steaua Bucharest lost 0-1 against Fenerbahce Istanbul at Ghencea stadium in Bucharest.
The only goal was scored by Kazim Kazim in the 59th minute. Steaua is last in Group H, while the Turks secured first place.
Dinamo was defeated 1-4 by Galatasaray Istanbul in an away game. The Turkish team currently ranks first in Group F, while Dinamo is third. Kewell (minute 32), Nonda (minute 42 and 46) and Elano (penalty, minute 58) scored for Galatasaray, while N'Doye (minute 61) tallied for Dinamo.
CFR Cluj lost a 0-2 match against Sparta Prague, with goals being scored by Kucka (minute 15) and Hubnik (minute 32). CFR is third in Group K, with three points, while Sparta Prague is second, with four points.
FC Timisoara played to a 0-0 draw against Anderlecht Brussels at home, after losing 0-3 to Dinamo Zagreb. Timisoara currently ranks last in Group A with 2 points.
