Policemen launch "Fingerprints in Rhymes” poetry volume

Police officers with the Crime Prevention Centre in Buzau (Central Romania) released yesterday (Thurs) a poetry volume, entitled "Fingerprints in Rhymes".

Among the authors are the police chiefs of the County Police, including the deputy chief of Buzau County Police Inspectorate and the under commissioner Mihai Tartareanu. The poetry volume was partly funded by the local county council, Romania TV news channel informs.

The authors say they intend to write more poetry books in the future with the contribution of their boss, the head of the County Police Inspectorate.

The foreword was written by a member of the Romanian Writers' Guild, Gheorghe Petcu who said: "(…) It is an extraordinary thing that masked police officers are writing poetry". One of the poets, Gina Zaharia, a traffic police officer, is also a writer of detective novels.
