Eurovision singer dead after jumping from 6th floor

Romanian singer Malina Olinescu, 37, committed suicide by jumping from the 6th floor of a building, Bucharest police said today (Mon).

Police said investigations showed both keys to the flat were found inside and there were no signs of a break-in.

Police said the victim was fully clothed and her slippers were found on the balcony she jumped off last night (Sun/Mon).

Prosecutors started an investigation to establish the circumstances surrounding the violent death.

Malina Olinescu, 37, represented Romania in the Eurovision Song Contest in England in 1998.
