Most Facebook users login at work

Over half of the Facebook users login while at work, a survey by Daedalus showed today (Tues).

A number of 53 per cent of the social network users login while at work, while 59 per cent of students and pupils do so from school or university.

Facebook is the most popular social network in Romania, as four out of five users have an account on it, compared to all social networks available.

A number of 81 per cent say the social network they access most frequently is Facebook, up from previously 69 per cent last year.

The timing when social networks are mostly used is between 10am and 12pm and between 8pm and 10pm.

There are currently 3.85 million Romanians on Facebook, a report by facebrands.ro shows, which represents 53 per cent of internet users and 18 per cent of total population.

Around a third of Romanians using Facebook are aged between 18 and 24 (32.6 per cent), and 30 per cent are aged from 25 to 34.

Women are the most numerous on Facebook, with 50.05 per cent, and most of the users are married or in a relationship (66 per cent).

Most Romanian users of the social network Facebook are from Bucharest - 1.1 million - followed by Cluj-Napoca - 167,980 users - and Iasi - 157,400 users.

Facebrands.ro monitors Facebook pages in Romania. According to its reports, there were 520,000 Romanians on Facebook at the beginning of last year.

Facebook currently has over 700 million users worldwide.
