´Supergirl´ opens Aerosmith concert

German band Reamonn is to open the Aerosmith concert in Bucharest, on 18 June, local organizers Events announced today (Tues).

Alternative rock and folk band Reamonn, which took its name from its vocalist, Irish Reamonn Garvey, was formed in 1998. The debut album "Tuesday" was launched in 2000, with the hit" Supergirl" topping all charts.

Their next albums, "Dream No. 7", in 2001, "Beautiful Sky", in 2003 and "Raise your hands", in 2004, confirmed their succes. In 2006, the single "Tonight" from "Wish" also reached all charts.

The Aerosmith concert in Bucharest is scheduled for 18 June, at Romexpo.

The tickets cost from 34 Euros (140 lei) to 144 Euros (590 lei) and are available at Eventim network stores (Germanos, Vodafone, Carturesti, Humanitas) and online at www.eventim.ro.

US rock band Aerosmith, which has sold over 150 million records, has launched 14 albums in their career that started in the 1970s. Aerosmith’s hits include Amazing, Crazy, Crying, Pink, Don’t Wanna Miss a Thing, Dream On, Jaded, Walk This Way, Janie's Got a Gun, Love in an Elevator and Livin' on the Edge.

The American stars officially announced their European "Cocked, Locked, ready to rock" tour this summer, calling it "the ultimate musical event of the new decade".

Band members Steven Tyler, Joe Perry, Brad Whitford, Tom Hamilton and Joey Kramer will hit Europe for the first time in three years, with concerts in Sweden, the UK, Greece, Holland, Belgium, Spain, France, the Czech Republic and Italy as well as Romania.
