Faithless still coming to Romania although B´estfest cancelled

Bucharest's B'estfest music festival, a summer perennial, has been cancelled this year, organizer Emagic announced today (Mon).

With Faithless announced as runner-up for this year's edition as early as January, Emagic announced the news today (Mon), saying the concert was still on, although the festival had been canceled "due to the recession".

Organizers explained the "enourmous" cost of the festival could be met by sales of tickets.

Laura Coroianu, Emagic CEO, said: "This year, B'estfest could not take place in the same conditions so we decided to postpone its fourth edition."

British electronic band Faithless will still rock on 16 July, Emagic said. Details about the venue and ticket sales will be announced shortly.

Maxi Jazz, Sister Bliss and Rollo Armstrong have made Faithless one of the best-known electronic music bands through hits like "Insomnia", "God is a DJ", and "We Come 1."

Last year's 3.3-million-Euro B'estfest had a line-up of more than 30 artists, including The Killers, Moby, Motorhead, Franz Ferdinand, Orbital, Santana and Manowar.
