Madonna has donated one of her favourite pairs of Christian Dior shoes for the Halloween Charity Ball to be held at the end of this month at Parliament Palace in Bucharest.
Madonna has also autographed the heels, the Ovidiu Rom association, set up by Leslie Hawke, has announced.
Each guest will be able to donate from 50 to 10,000 Euros, and everyone who makes a contribution can participate in the raffle.
A 50-Euro donation will equip a child for school (a backpack full of school supplies as well as clothes, school uniforms, and/or shoes as needed).
A 1,000-Euro donation will equip a classroom in a poor community and provide for teacher training.
A 5,000-euro donation will endow a summer school for 50 children in an impoverished community that will help children prepare for first grade. The donation will cover the cost of training and stipends for two teachers and a school mediator, materials, snacks, student workbooks and all educational activities.
A 10,000-Euro donation will allow the donor to Adopt a School in a poor community by covering the costs of student recruitment and school supplies, summer school, teacher training and the setting-up of a modern classroom plus establishment of a local action group and monthly parentsí meetings.
Leslie Hawke, the president of Asociatia Ovidiu Rom, has announced that her son, Ethan Hawke, has confirmed he will attend the Halloween Charity Ball on 31 October at Palatul Parlamentului.
