The Prime Minister nominated today (Weds) two new minister for the Education and Culture portfolios, the government press office informs.
Victor Ponta nominated Social Democrat Ecaterina Andronescu as Education minister who previously held the same portfolio in 2009 and Liberal Puiu Hasotti as Culture Minister.
The outgoing Culture minister Mircea Diaconu resigned on Tuesday following a ruling by the Supreme Court that bans him to holding a public office for three years from now on.
Diaconu was found guilty of incompatibility while in a public office because he held the position of manager of public theatre while being a Senator as well.
The premier nominated Andronescu at the education ministry because the 45 days of interim of minister Liviu Pop comes to an end. Pop was nominated interim minister after the previous minister Ioan Mang resigned following plagiarism accusations.
