Enlargement Commissioner says Moldovans might travel without visas in the EU

The European Commissioner for Enlargement Stefan Fule said late on Tuesday (yesterday) that Moldovans might travel in the EU without visas soon, Romania Libera newspaper informs today.

Whilst attending a conference of the Eastern Partnership in Chisinau, Fule specified however that the decision depends on all EU member states. The commissioner said that among all former soviet satellites, Moldova is most likely to end the association negotiations with the European Union next year.

"The negotiations on the Association Agreement and Free Trade Accord might be concluded in 2013. As regards, the liberalization of the visa regime, Moldova is in a good position. The country might benefit from the visa lifting shortly (), Fule said.
