Student protested naked against traffic and polution

A student from the University of Architecture in Bucharest protested yesterday (Mon) in front of the National Theatre in Bucharest against traffic pollution, local press informs today.
He climbed to the top of a crane and took off his clothes, revealing a tattoo with the international symbol of peace marked on his chest.

The young man said he is against air pollution and instead of using cars, people should plant trees.

The police and gendarmes awaited him for several hours and when the young man ended his protest and came down from the crane, he has been taken straight to a psychiatric hospital.

The medics from Constantin Obregia mental hospital in Bucharest told the press today, the young man will be kept in hospital for at least three weeks.
