Romanian hacker published US Army, Pentagon and NASA servers' data

A Romanian hacker, aged 20, was arrested this morning (Tues) in Timisoara, under the accusation of having broken into the American Army, Pentagon and the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) servers.

Manole Razvan Cernaianu  is accused of having launched informational attacks on the US Army servers, obtaining confidential data, copying them and transferring them to his own system. He also posted the data online, on a blog and on a website, prosecutors said.

His activity led to the temporary blocking of the US Defense Department's servers.

Prosecutors from Romania's anti-organised crime department (DIICOT) said the hacker posted a video of his informatic attacks on his blog.

The investigation was carried out in cooperation with the FBI.
