Danish tip off leads to child porn Brit arrest

A suspected British paedophile has been arrested in the Romanian capital Bucharest.

Romanian prosecutors from the anti-organized crime directorate (DIICOT) said that Charles David Fletcher, 35, had distributed pornographic videos involving children as young as a year-old on the internet.

Prosecutors ordered him detained for 24 hours and are expected to ask for that to be extended because of the volume of material and the shocking nature of the content.

Prosecutors said: "Between March 2011 and January 2012 he distributed around 200 videos involving children aged between 12 months and around 13 years of age."

Fletcher allegedly shared the info with other internet users through a sharing network in the peer-2peer system.

The Romanian authorities in Bucharest were alerted to the man's activities by Danish police.
