Six new ministers have been appointed in the Romanian government and they are going to make an official oath today (Fri).
The announced government changes finalized with six new ministers, in Economy, Transports, Labor, Communications, Agriculture and Finance.
President Traian Basescu signed today (Fri) the revocation of the former ministers (of which four resigned and two were revoked).
PM Emil Boc will have a meeting today with the new ministers, Government spokeswoman Ioana Muntean announced.
The changes in the Government were announced previous this week and they are intended to allow the continuation of reform programs and to determine Romania to have economic growth in 2011, PM Emil Boc said last night.
The Government lost popularity as it applied harsh austerity measures to increase public budget revenue and to cut spendings. All salaries in the public sector were cut by 25 per cent starting July and a VAT hike from 19 to 24 per cent was imposed, along with new taxes.
