Romania and Bulgaria to be linked by two new bridges

Romania and Bulgaria plan to build two new bridges to link the two countries across the Danube River, Prime Minister Emil Boc said today (Fri) at the opening of the ferry line linking Turnu Magurele and Nikopol.

Boc met his Bulgarian counterpart Boiko Borisov, and they talked about improving transportation between the two countries.

They discussed two new bridges to link Calarasi and Bechet in Romania and Silistra and Oreahovo in Bulgaria, respectively.

The ferry, which will take eight minutes to cross the Danube, will make two trips a day.

A trip will cost two Euros per person, 12 Euros per car and up to 100 Euros per truck.
