Cigarettes factory found at farm

An illicit cigarette factory has been discovered by police at a farm in Mihail Kogalniceanu in Constanta county in southern Romania.

Police said today (Fri) that 34 tonnes of tobacco had been found that the suspects had been using to make cigarettes that they then sold without any documents and without paying taxes.

Police also found on the farm owned by two men aged 31 and 48 special equipment for making cigarettes.

The suspects are being investigated for fraud and tax evasion.
