AA introduces new flights from Bucharest to Vienna

Romanian Times

Austrian Airlines (AA) announced today (Tues) that it would increase the number of flights from Romania in the summer season.

There will be five flights Bucharest-Vienna and return, bringing the total flights from Romania to Vienna to 62 per week.

Philipp Happel, general manager of Austrian Airlines, said: "The company operates 62 flights per week from Bucharest, Timisoara, Sibiu, Iasi and Cluj-Napoca to Vienna. The summer schedule, which starts on 25 March, will introduce two new flights Bucharest - Vienna per week, up to five flights per day."

The partnership's codeshare on the route Bucharest - Vienna was cancelled, but it is still in place for the other routes. Codeshare is an aviation business term for the practice of multiple airlines selling space on the same flights, where a seat can be purchased on one airline but is actually operated by a cooperating airline under a different flight number or code.

AA  is part of the Lufthansa Group and it operates 130 destinations in the world.
