ING to invest 250mn Euros in regional centre in Transylvania

ING Group is to invest 250 million Euros in the following ten years, for the development of the newly opened regional services centre, in Cluj-Napoca, Transylvania, company officials have announced.

ING Group opened a regional services centre for Central European countries this week and has already employed 120 people.

Company officials said the number of employees would reach 1,000 by 2013.

ING Service Centre Europe will centralise some of the functions from the financial, IT and operational departments of ING Insurances in Romania and six other states.

Marketing and sales activities will continue locally in every country, the ING officials said.
