Romania´s foreign exchange reserves dropped by 26mn euros in August

Romania's foreign exchange reserves dropped to 31.55 billion Euros in August, from 31.58 billion Euros, the central bank announced today (Weds).

The central bank said foreign exchange inflows amounted to 733 million Euros in August, while total outflows reached 759 million Euros.

The gold holdings remained at 103.7 metric tons, with an adjusted value of 3.24 billion Euros, up from 3 billion Euros in July.

Romania's overall international reserves meanwhile increased to 34.8 billion Euros in August, from 34.57 billion Euros the month before.

The payments due on public and publicly guaranteed external debt in September amount to 78.7 million Euros, the data showed.
