The Turbanator

Kathryn Quinn

He's certainly got a head start when it comes to getting his message across.

Because this Indian holy man's astonishing headgear - nicknamed The Turbanator - is four feet tall and weighs an amazing 170lbs.

Baba Mastana - from the Punjab in northern India - tours the regions preaching peace.

"My turban is my message to the world. Shun violence, lead a life of peace," said the 48-year-old guru.

Each night his followers unravel the 200 yards of fabric it takes to make the turban and guard it until Baba Mastana wakes the next morning.

Now he plans to tour terrorist hotspots like Afghanistan and Pakistan to spread his bizarre message of peace.

"I will have my turban wherever I go, asking people to shun terrorism, shun violence and shun hatred," he said.

"No one will kill me. I will hide behind my turban," he added.
