This is the young woman who was killed while four months pregnant after she refused a plea by her lover to have an abortion.
Loreidy Pot, 20, was so enthusiastic about her expected baby that she carried the ultra sound picture with her at all times, and refused her African lover Manu Natungo's request for an abortion.
But a court heard how as a result he lured her to a remote beauty spot in the Swiss canton of Fribourg, persuaded her to have sex, and then afterwards strangled her, put her body in a shallow grave and set it on fire.
The court heard that it had taken 5 minutes for her to die, and in that time his other girlfriend, Amelia Pascal, 30, also jailed, had turned up with two spades and the gasoline and had then helped him dig the grave.
Amélia who had a child with Nanu had been furious when she found out that he had another woman.
She told the court in the original trial that she "did not want their child growing up with a bastard brother". She also spoke of her anger at the fact that Manu had cheated on her with the other woman in "every room of their home".
But a Swiss appeals court has ruled that the life sentence given by a Geneva court for the "Devil's Couple" as local media called them was inhuman and reduced it to 20 years so that the pair can have a chance to do something with their lives.
François Canonica, lawyer for the 30-year-old Angolan who moved to Switzerland aged nine, said at the time that his client had not been given the chance to talk about his difficult upbringing in a country that was ravaged by war.
He said: "In prison, he has completed a high school matriculation in science and has begun training to become an electrical engineer. One can be detestable yesterday and admirable today."
The lawyer for the woman, who didn't want this new baby to cause "issues", argued that her involvement was "relatively limited".
In the court Manu, 32, blamed Amelia who he claimed had put unbearable pressure on him to kill his lover as her pregnancy was a shame on their honour.
"They killed with a noticeable lack of scruples," presiding judge Pierre Marquis said, but nevertheless agreed to reduce the sentence.
