This poor cow was udderly frozen when she fell into this iced over swimming pool in Windeck, Germany, and couldn't get out.
The chilly moo had escaped while the rest of her herd were being rounded up for the slaughterhouse when she slipped and plunged in.
Startled home-owners called the police and fire brigade after realising the cow was stuck fast.
"We drained the pool and managed to haul her out using a tractor," said a fire brigade spokesman.
But now the thawed out heifer can take come cold comfort from escaping the abattoir - for now.
"She's far too stressed to go anywhere yet. We'll see how it works out," the farmer told local media.
