Gay Builders Trade Union

Builder Carsten Wirth, 39, has started a trade union for gay builders after he was fired when he moved in with another man at Bad Oldesloe in Germany.

He said: "Building is still a job for a real man, and most people in the branch have no tolerance for gay colleagues."

He added that he had set up the gay trade union IGay Bau after he was mobbed at work when he moved out from living with his girlfriend, and moved in with a man.

He said the union was for gay men and women, bisexual and transgender builders.
