Snake Escape

This snake caused a shock for 74-year-old OAP Lottie Ruedel Logot when it emerged from her toilet in her house in Schwanstetten, Germany.

It is thought the metre long python had escaped from a neighbours and got into the pipe before finding its way out in the sewerage network in the OAP's home.

When the lady opened the toilet lid she saw the snake trying to get out.

She put the lid down in panic, but when police turned up it had disappeared again.

Firemen dismantled the toilet and pipes to find the snake - that was hidden in a U-bend further down.
