This runaway kangaroo has been keeping cops on the hop - even after having his own official police mugshot taken.

The escaped marsupial has skipped from its zoo enclosure in Stadthagen, Germany, for five days hopping in and out of local gardens and parks.

Police had been tracking it for three hours when an astonished home owner reported it chewing up plants in his garden.

"We took a photograph just to show we'd seen him. But before we could get to him he was off again into a field and gone. I
