This confused motorist is heading for the high jump - after driving his car to the top of a ski-ramp.

The ramp - in Einsiedeln, Switzerland - where skiers had been training for the Winter Olympics sport on artificial surfaces out of season.

But baffled staff watched the car veer off the access road and make straight for the jump, finally getting to the top after several attempts, say police.

Local police spokesman Hans Blum explained: "We don't yet know why he drove up the slope. He seemed a bit confused. His driving licence has been confiscated."
