This lifelike baby doll sparked a full scale police alert after it was discovered in a bag on a park bench at Neu Ulm in Germany.
Shocked Martin Ziegler, 37, raised the alarm when he found the baby in the bag - and told cops: "The baby is not moving or breathing - and its body is cold to the touch. I think it's dead."
The doll was so realistic that it even fooled cops - who urged ambulance staff to get to the park as quickly as possible and confirmed the woman's report of an abandoned baby.
Only when medics arrived was the fact that the baby was really a lifelike doll discovered.
A police spokesman said: "It was only when they opened the baby's eye and shone a light on it that they realised the baby was an unbelievably lifelike doll."
He said they were now searching to track the owner of the valuable doll and to work out how it ended up on a park bench.
