Lovestruck teen

Kathryn Quinn

A lovestruck Polish teenager was arrested after he stole 700 GBP from his dad's wallet determined to travel to Britain for a first date with a girl he'd only ever met online.

Besotted Krzystof Kozlowski, 15, made it as far as Germany before police found him sleeping rough in a railway station in Gorlitz.

The youngster and his sweetheart - identified only as Arlette, 13 - had swapped steamy emails and chatroom messages for seven months before Krystof decided he had to see her.

"I'm going to wait for the school holidays now and do it properly," he said after a dressing down from police.
