TV makes kids fat: report

A new study of couch potato kids has shown that while watching telly will make them fat, the same time spent in front of a computer screen doesn't.

The report - compiled by school nurses in Lund, Sweden - shows the risks of youngsters piling on the pounds are "far higher" if they plonk themselves in front of a TV instead of a computer.

Project leader Pernilla Garmy said: "The results are conclusive."
