A luckless lover survived three suicide bids after he decided to end it all because he wasn't getting enough sex.
Frustrated Marek Czarnowski, 25, first tried to throw himself under a train but couldn't get down from the platform in time.
Then he tried to hang himself from a chandelier at the family home in Szczecin, Poland, but failed when the light fitting fell out of the ceiling.
Finally he tried to poison himself but ended up with a crippling bout of diaorrhea.
"I'm very lonely. I always dreamed about waking up next to some pretty girl but that has never happened. I've never had a real sex life," he told medical staff.
"I've been a bit stupid, but a life without a woman and sex doesn't make sense to me," he added.
