It looks like a barking way to get around, but inventor Qin Lin reckons his one-dog-power carriage definitely beats going walkies.

Qin - from Xi'an, Shaanxi province, western China - constructed the traditionally decorated cart and harness himself.

Now he and his crossbred pooch - who certainly looks a bit husky after this session - are a regular sight around the streets of the city.

"Some people have criticised me and told me I am being cruel," said Qin.

"But dogs have been pulling man for hundreds of years. I'm just doing what comes naturally to him." he added.
