Firemen faced a heavyweight problem when this elderly tusker was unable to get up again after a heavy meal including hundreds of pounds of of her favourite fruits washed down by gallons of water.
53-year-old zoo elephant Tina has been put on a special diet after advancing years and weight started to take a toll.
But after gorging out on some of her favourite treats zookeepers noticed that she was unable to raise herself back onto her feet at Hellabrunn Zoo in Munich, Germany.
Zoo staff together with vets had tried to lift the 3 1/2 ton elephant back onto her feet without success – and they had to call in fireman with heavy lifting gear.
Zoo staff are very proud of Tina – reportedly the oldest elephant in Europe.
Zoo Boss Andreas Knieriem said there were currently reviewing her diet, possible medicines and her current lifestyle in order to make sure her old age was as comfortable as possible.
