At 68 years old, watch repairer Lu Shengzhen found he had plenty of time on his hands.
So when he was challenged to build a clock for his town in Lu Jiawan, Shaanxi province, western China, he thought big - Big Ben, to be precise.
Now the huge replica of the most famous clock in the world sits on top of his modest home after a four year construction programme that cost him more than 20,000 GBP to complete.
And just like the real thing, it has a full set of Westminster chimes and a giant bell that marks the hours with an accuracy of one second plus or minus per day.
"It can get quite noisy inside the house, especially at night.
"But at least I never have to ask anyone what the time is," said Lu.
